Low battery light indicator
When this light is on, it is a sign that the batteries are getting low. The detector uses 8 AA batteries, which is around 12v. The detector's voltage is regulated around 8v. So when the total battery power reaches around 9.20v, the detector will tell you that the battery power is low.
